Research

There are many films that are similar to mine but one of the many that is most similar is the 2011 film GONE.
This film shares similarities such as type of erie soundtrack and the type of characters that are portrayed in my film .


My film is about a girl who has witnessed a hostage and is now being hunted down for it.In the other film GONE, the character is similar because of the way they fit well into the movie.The way the characters are in my film all determine the way the film is viewed by the audience and my characters have an erie more silent persona to them. 

I added this effect because i wanted the film to have the affect of making people on the edge of their seat and so i felt that by looking at the other film trailer (GONE) i got a lot of ideas from how i could manage to make the characters feel more interesting without them actually appearing obvious .

This movie is about a girl has had her sister kidnapped and found again, but years later the kidnapper comes back for her and finds her sister.This girl races against time to try and track down this kidnapper and not get caught herself.This film gave me a great deal of inspiration as it captures the very essence of thrillers and how they should make the audience feel.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

production/distribution : In the UK thriller movies would usually be distribution by companies such as metrodome.

This media institution would produce my film because it usually distributes in that type of film genre and it also works with low budget films this  would great for my film as it quiet small.

Different types of films like mine are

This is similiar to my film as it is a thriller and its a low budget .

This company (metrodome ) works with unknown films which puts me to an advantage .
My media product isjust starting off and so it is more likely to be distributed by a compaythat is known to distribute small low budget films such as mine.

This film was originally for practice and i found that i had learnt a lot in terms of camera usage and creativity this is the first actual shot that i have of my movie before the actual one ...Hostage .
this was a very challenging task because i had to look at my film in a more critical way .I had to ask myself ' how would the audience will perceive the film?' , ' what sort of genre am i aiming  for ?'.
Further more i think that there has been a lot difference in the two films that i have published 'hostage' and 'second guessing hell' , the purpose of posting the two films  was to  distinguish the difference between the changes made and the improvements between the two movies.


More over, i believe that while working on the film, i have changed the story line several times and have manage to re-shoot more than several times as well. However this was only a fraction of what actual film production is about i had barely stepped into the that sort of dedication needed.
